Sea with Melody aims to be useful, fair, and clear about the difference between reporting and opinion. Here’s how that works.
News and the Sea Report
- News items link directly to the original source, such as a cruise line announcement, government notice, or established news outlet.
- Each item is checked against its source before publication and dated, because travel news changes quickly.
- Analysis of why a story matters to travelers is our interpretation, not a statement from the source.
- Before booking, readers should confirm details directly with the cruise line, hotel, or travel provider.
Opinion
Opinion and personal commentary are labeled Melody’s Take, either as a category or as a clearly marked section within a post.
Sponsorships, hosted travel, and affiliate links
Current status: Sea with Melody does not currently publish sponsored content or use affiliate links.
If that changes, affected posts will carry a clear disclosure near the top, and this page will be updated. Hosted or discounted travel will be disclosed in the story it relates to. Partners never get approval over opinions.
Images
Photographs are original, provided with permission, or used under an appropriate license (such as the Unsplash License). Stock and illustrative images are not presented as Melody’s own travel photos.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we’ll fix it and note significant corrections in the post. Spotted an error? Email melody@seawithmelody.com.
Not professional advice
Content is for general information and entertainment. It isn’t legal, medical, financial, or travel-booking advice, and prices, policies, and itineraries can change at any time.
